the BEST split pea soup EVER!

lol. This recipe is GREAT!! Everyone in my house LOVES it and eats every single bit of it. And the best part is that it's super easy to make!!

1 pound dried split peas
2 cups diced onions
1-1/2 cups diced carrots
1 cup diced celery
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 chicken bouillon cubes
ham bone

Put all ingredients and 7 cups water into a 5-1/2 quart or larger crockpot. Cover and cook on high 6 hours or low 12 hours until peas are very soft and fall apart. Remove bone; when cool enough to handle, cut meat off bone, dice and return to soup.

Mmmm, Jennifer that sounds really good!!! I doubt anyone here but me would eat it though. Sounds very close to the pea soup my mother used to make.
